Hey, you are more than welcome.
Sad to hear that, you can always try next year if you find time. It’s a cool experience as most of the ML summer camps (there is one organized in Romania by DeepMind people and other ones) don’t have a practical project and also project presentation at the end.
I am actually doing my masters on the Electrical Engineering Faculty in Belgrade. I didn’t have any ML course on my faculty, I think there exists a course but as far as I know it’s not worth the effort.
I did have a strong digital image processing course during bachelor (held by Dragomir El Mezeni who did his Ph.D. in that area of research and also worked for Intel) and also machine vision/computer vision on my masters. That’s all, so I am mostly self-taught and we do ML in my team in Microsoft.
As far as I know the only good ML masters you will find in Europe are not in the Balkans, they are in Paris (Telecom ParisTech, have a friend studying there), EPFL (Lausanne), ETH (Zurich) etc.
If you ask me I would either do my studies on Stanford, MIT somewhere in the States (if you are into research and you have an opportunity) or better yet through self-education and job if you are into applications of ML.
I hope I answered your question.
